Oakville Art Tour 2013, Oct.26 and Oct.27 10-5 Sovereign House 7 West River Street

We are getting ready for this year’s Oakville Art Tour as the beautiful colour brochures are now available through the Oakville Art Society as well as other locations throughout the Town.  The brochure, which gives details on all the artists and their locations, is also available for download online at www.oakvillearttour.com

There will be 36 artists in total who will be showing in 12 different locations.  I’m thrilled to be one of those artists and I am also happy to say that my location this year is the beautiful and picturesque Sovereign House, located at 7 West River Street Oakville.  I will be showing there alongside artists Carolyn Crosby and Jangmee Park.

Sovereign House is an historical building owned by the Bronte Historical Society and is situated on Bronte Bluffs Park which offers stunning views of Lake Ontario and Bronte Harbour as well as the beautiful trees that are part of the Waterfront Trail and will be full of vibrant fall colours that time of year.  There is also plenty of free parking in a large lot just before reaching Sovereign House on West River Street.

Here are a few photos taken on the grounds of Sovereign House from a recent “en plein aire” painting trip I took with some other artist friends one Spring.
