Teaching a Seasons Greeting Card Workshop to a Talented Group from SOAAR at the Oakville Art Society

It was Winter in September when I led an art workshop on making cards for the Holiday Season for the SOAAR Day Program last Wednesday at the Oakville Art Society.

SOAAR, which stands for Successful Options for Adults with Autism Re-envisioned, is a community based, innovative day program for young adults/adolescents with autism and developmental disabilities.

There was a great wintery holiday feeling in the classroom as the group painted their favourite things that reminded them of this festive time of year. They all did a really wonderful job with some creating their own scenes from their imagination and others working from the reference photos provided.
